Everyday Math student work journals contain math box pages that provide opportunities for students to practice beginning, developing and secure skills. Mastery expectations are very different for beginning, developing, and secure skills so teachers often assign more points for the developing and secure questions than for the questions on beginning skills. Since the math boxes are not labeled in the student journal, the following links provide parents with helpful information regarding the level of mastery expected for each section of the math box assignments.
